Orbital Industrial Complex

The third technology along the bottom-most part of the research tree which first requires the completion of the Station Restoration Equipment technology. This culminates the last of the three station related technologies, allowing the production of Mining Stations and Siphon Stations.

Mining Stations can only be constructed in asteroid belts within a system, providing various mining production bonuses based on the number of belts in the system (or a fixed level if modified in the Luna Settings). Any Mining Station automatically comes complete with a Space Station and a Mining industry as part of its construction.

Likewise, Siphon Stations can only be constructed around gas giants that have not yet been converted into stars.

This upgrade costs 5 Research Databanks and takes 60 Days to complete. This technology can only be researched once. It serves as the final requirement for the Gas Giant Weather Manipulation, Planet Cracking, and Remnant Type Battlestation technologies.
